Assistant Professor, University of Waterloo
Dept. of Earth and Environmental Sciences
ABOUT ME
I have worked on greenhouse gas dynamics, with a central focus on methane, in rivers, lakes and reservoirs in several different countries, including Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Zambia, China, Brazil and Greenland. I have lived and worked in North America and Europe, but am now settled in Canada as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Waterloo in Ontario. My group integrates field-based system analyses and experimental laboratory work into determining and predicting anthropogenic impacts on aquatic greenhouse gas dynamics from regional to global scales. I am a member of Global Water Futures - a consortium of Canadian researchers and universities that seeks to make Canada a global leader in water science in cold regions. We have access to world class water quality and isotope labs as well as other excellent research teams to help our research achieve the highest quality. If you are looking for academic opportunities, do not hesitate to contact me.
